ok, so i know there are a lot of fuck-knuckles out there, but i didn't realize the country was going to fall to pieces while i was gone. HARPER got elected?!? how the hell did that happen? i hope all of you at least voted. cripes. so much for all the gains we've made in the last 5 or 10 years vis a vis left/realist agendas.

Canadian politics has either a strong Liberal party or a weak Conservative one. He'll be out the minute he tries any of this social policy shit. Until he does, enjoy him being forced to play ball with the NDP and Bloc.
Technically, Harper doesn't have to play ball with the NDP, because there's not enough seats for them to swing a vote in either direction. Ironic that Buzz Hargrove's "Vote Strategically" sentiment may have screwed the Labour/Union market by taking the power out of the Liberals and NDP's hands.
